What is Bitcoin?

It is an electronic payment system on the internet. It uses public key encryption. There is a private and public key that is used for the transaction.

Here is a 9 minute video that explains what Bitcoin is. This video was posted on Youtube on May 3, 2013 when the price of a bitcoin was around $100.
