What is a release aid?
What is hand-torque?
What is trigger punching?
What hunting gear is recommended for beginners?
Gloves? Leather arm protection against slap-string?
What does hysteresis mean?
As a general term, hysteresis means a lag between input and output in a system upon a change in direction. Hysteresis is something that happens with magnetic materials so that, if a varying magnetizing signal is applied, the resulting magnetism that is created follows the applied signal, but with a delay. (see physics link above.)

Important Facts
Arrows for compound bows aren’t that different from those used with a standard longbow. Both are usually made from either carbon or aluminum.
Do NOT attempt to launch an arrow with a wooden shaft using a compound bow. Extremely high tensile forces in action will probably break the shaft and could lead to injuries.
